Eddie Woods training program grad Thought Process has now won three straight starts on the grass following her Oct. 6 victory in the Surfer Girl S. (G3) at Santa Anita Park.

The 2-year-old filly, owned by Little Red Feather Racing, Madaket Stables LLC and Estate of Brereton C. Jones, the latter also her breeder, has now won three of four starts and earned $174,000.

Thought Process grabbed the lead right at the start of the one-mile turf race and led the field through a half-mile in :47.69. After six panels in 1:11.43, she began to widen her one-length lead and came home full of run to win by 4 ½-lengths in 1:34.34.

"I thought [eventual runner-up Casalu] would go to the lead. Then I saw Kimura grab the filly, so I said, Let's go," explained winning rider Hector Berrios. "She went really comfortably."

Thought Process will now head to Del Mar for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1) on Nov. 1.

"I was just very impressed with her," trainer Phil D'Amato said. "It looks like there's more in the tank. I'm sure when we go to the Breeders' Cup she will definitely need more in the tank."
