Regal Glory got her first stakes win of the year in the $500,000 Kentucky Downs Ladies Turf (G3) on Sept. 12, backing up a pair of graded victories the Eddie Woods training grad earned in 2019.
Facing the starter in a heavy rain, Regal Glory broke well and was in close pursuit of Mitchell Road, who led the field through a half-mile in :47.19. Turning for home, Regal Glory came along side the pacesetter and those two raced together the rest of the trip, with Regal Glory winning by nearly a half-length in 1:34.34 for the mile on the yielding turf.
The victory upped 4-year-old Regal Glory's record to 6-3-0 in 11 starts and earnings to $773,884 for owner/breeder Paul Pompa, Jr.
