Blue Devil, an Eddie Woods Training Program grad and graded stakes performer, began the year on Feb. 7 with a convincing win in the Winsham Lad S. at Sunland Park.

Blue Devil was making his third start on the comeback trail in Friday’s one-mile contest after missing most of 2024. The 6-year-old pressed the early pace while three-wide, then took over the lead from Alotaluck midway on the final turn. Alotaluck battled back after turning for home, but Blue Devil shook off the challenge and drew away smartly to win by 2 ¼-lengths in 1:36.71 on a fast track.

Trained by Steve Asmussen for MyRacehorse and Rocket Ship Racing LLC, Blue Devil is 4-4-2 in 18 starts and has earned $396,677.

A son of Uncle Mo, Blue Devil hails from the same family as Althea. He was bred in Kentucky by Mt. Brilliant Farm & Ranch LLC.
